Comparison for ktag and Kess
1. Different Connection Way :
For Most Vehicles, KESS V5.017 can read and write ECU via OBD2 Cable Directly, Easy To Operate !
KTAG V7.020 read and write ECU via TRICORE or BDM Or Other Mode with special cable, But the software will guide you how to operate !
2. Different Vehicle Coverage :
For example: KESS 5.017 and Ktag v7.020 all can work For Most for Toyota Denso ECU Protocol,
But just K-TAG 7.020 can work For Toyota Hilux kun26 very well !
KTAG V7.020 can support much more truck/tractor/motorcycle than KESS V5.017 !
For Some cars. KESS V5.017 just can read it. But KTAG V7.020 can read and write it.
3. KTAG V7.020 add a cable with GPT Functions.
GPT is new password algo cryptography that is implemented in new Tricore microcontrollers. our KTAG v7.020 can easily read and decrypt the secret password and it automatically unlocks/unprotects the Tricore sectors so it can read and write both Flash and Eeprom
4. Red KTAG 7.020 With Murata filters
The main program and SD card file is different from ktag V6.070
