How to Reset Your Autel MaxiIM or OTOFIX Device to Factory Settings

Autel IM508S/IM608 II and OTOFIX Factory Settings Reset Guide

This guide is applicable to:

• Autel MaxiIM IM508
• Autel MaxiIM IM508S
• Autel MaxiIM IM608
• Autel MaxiIM IM608 II
• OTOFIX IM1
• OTOFIX IM2

Steps to Reset

1. Navigate to:
   Settings > System Settings > System > Reset Options > Erase All Data (Factory Reset)
2. Select the option:
   “Erase SD Card”
3. Tap:
   “RESET TABLET”
4. Confirm the action by clicking:
   “ERASE EVERYTHING”⚠️ Note: This process will erase all data, including:
   • Google account information
   • System and app data/settings
   • Installed apps
5. The device will automatically restart upon completion.

Post-Reset Steps

1. Reconnect to WiFi:
   Re-establish the device’s connection to the internet.
2. Open the MaxiIM App:
   Launch the app to access available updates.
3. Install Updates:
   Go to Updates and download/install all available updates, including:
   • System updates
   • OS updates
   • LinComm updates

After completing the updates, your device will be reset and fully updated for use.
