CLAAS Lexion 480 Combine Harvester Reverse Drive – Removal Instructions

Here we provide the removal procedure for the reversing drive of the CLAAS Lexion 480 combine.

Removing the Reversing Drive
Raise the feed rake conveyor belt and engage and secure the cutter cylinder safety lock.
Loosen the adjusting ring and remove it from the bearing plate.

Remove the bearing plate by tightening the screws.

Remove the end of the hose leading to the tank from the hydraulic cylinder and close it with a plastic cap.

Loosen the hexagonal screw M 8 x 180.
Remove the spring clip.

Remove the hexagonal screws M 8 x 65, M 12 x 25 and M 12 x 45. Loosen the bolt with eccentric bolt on the hydraulic cylinder and remove the cylinder.

Disassemble the support arm with hydraulic motor and drive gear.

Loosen the M 8 x 25 hexagonal screw from the front of the hydraulic motor.

With 2 arm puller and M 8 hexagonal wrench. Remove the centerer, geared screw.

Loosen the M 12 x 35 hexagonal screw and remove the hydraulic motor from the support arm.
