
This guide provides instructions on removing the high-voltage (HV) battery cooling fan for HINO 155, 155h, 195, and 195h series trucks equipped with the J05E engine.

Step 1: Remove the Power Control Unit (PCU)
- Refer to the service manual under: HYBRID > HYBRID SYSTEM > PCU > REPLACEMENT (See Page 3-18)
Step 2: Remove the Intake Cover, Upper Cover, and Exhaust Cover
- Unfasten the following:
- 20 bolts
- 4 nuts
- 1 earth (ground) bolt
- Remove the:
- Intake cover
- Upper cover
- Exhaust cover
- Gasket
Caution: The old gasket cannot be reused. Always replace with a new one.
Step 3: Remove the HV Battery Cooling Fan
- Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor.
- Release the 2 clips and remove the intake duct.
- Unfasten 2 bolts and nuts to detach the HV battery cooling fan from the battery carrier.
- Disconnect the electrical connector and connector clamp, then remove the HV battery cooling fan.
Follow these steps carefully to ensure safe and proper removal of the HV battery cooling fan. Use appropriate safety procedures when working on hybrid systems.
