To back up files from your OBDSTAR DC706 to a PC, follow these steps carefully. This process allows you to safely transfer and store your data, ensuring that your valuable diagnostics and programming files are not lost:
1. Insert a USB Disk: Start by inserting a USB disk into the USB port of your DC706 tablet. This disk will serve as the transfer medium for your files.
2. Navigate to Home Menu: On your DC706 tablet, go to the Home menu. Here, you’ll find various options for device settings and data management.
3. Access Data Management:
Tap on the DP icon to access device programming and data management options.
Select Data Management followed by My Data > Local Data. This will take you to the local storage where your device files are kept.
4. Select Files to Transfer:
Browse through the files and tick the ones you need to transfer. To select multiple files, you may need to long-press on the desired files.
After selecting, press Copy to prepare the files for transfer.
5. Paste Files to USB Disk:
Navigate to the location on your USB disk where you want to paste the copied files.
Press Paste to transfer the files from the DC706’s local storage to the USB disk.
6. Successful Copy Confirmation:
Wait for the device to indicate that the copying process has been successful. A message such as “copy successfully” should appear on your screen.
7. Safely Remove USB Disk:
It’s important to wait approximately 10 seconds after the copy process completes before removing the USB disk. This ensures that the file transfer is finalized and prevents data corruption.
8. Transfer Files to PC:
Finally, insert the USB disk into your PC. You can then copy or move the files from the USB disk to your PC’s hard drive for safekeeping or further analysis.
By following these steps, you can efficiently back up your OBDSTAR DC706 files to a PC, ensuring your data is securely stored and easily accessible for future use.
