It is necessary to program injector for Caterpillar after replacement. And you need use related injector trim files to program them,so here i will show you guide on how to create new Caterpillar injector trim files.
Procedures:
Open a trim file (also available read it by CAT ET diagnostic software) with txt
Copy the content from <Data>…</Data>
Paste it into CAT Trim File calculator
Here you can find the InjectorSeriaNo is same as the one in trim file
Now input new injector serial number then click “Change” button
Content between <Data>…</Data> will renew, now copy it and paste it into trim file

Now use CAT ET diagnostic software Service function to load this trim file to program injector.
Caterpillar Trim Files Checksum Calculator Functions:
1) calculate trim files checksum
2) change Injector SN in trim files
3) calculate FLS byte block checksum
Notice:you must turn off your anti-virus program, because it will kill this file. (some anti-virus program will warn it is virus, don’t kill it, it is safe. if you kill it, it can’t work)
How to Use CAT Trim File Calculator?

3.Copy and paste content from <Data> to </Data> to CAT trim calculator
4.Change injector serial number, then cope content from <Data> to </Data> back to trim file
5.Change injector serial number in the trim
6.Save and load new trim to CAT ET for programming
Replacing an Injector
An injector trim file must be loaded into the ECM if an injector is replaced.
Replacing the ECM
The ‘Copy Configuration’ utility on Cat ET copies the injector trim files between two engine control modules. If the ‘Copy Configuration’ fails, all of the injector trim files must be manually loaded into the new ECM.
A 630-2 (J1939) Calibration Memory : Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect code is activated if the ECM does not have an injector trim file for every cylinder. ‘Injector Code’ is displayed beneath the 630-2 code.
Exchanging Injectors
Exchanging injectors can help determine if a combustion problem is in the injector or in the cylinder. If two injectors that are currently installed in the engine are exchanged between cylinders, the injector trim files can also be exchanged. Press the ‘Exchange’ button at the bottom of the ‘Injector Trim Calibration’ screen on Cat ET. Select the two injectors that have been exchanged and press the ‘OK’ button. The tattletale for the injectors that were exchanged will increase by one.
